Our history
GP Holiday Shop started in Dayton, Ohio in 2017 as an idea from Frances Gant, a 33- year elementary teacher. She saw the need for children in her classroom and their families who were lacking the necessities of food and funds during the Christmas holiday break. Frances enlisted

her family members Kenny(husband), Kathleen(sister), Shundrick(son), and Christina(daughter-in-law) to create and organize the event. The first Holiday Shop took place at Kiser Elementary School's cafeteria in December of 2017. Now the GP Holiday Shop program has expanded to support 3 elementary schools within the Dayton Public School system: Kiser, Louise Troy, and Westwood.
The event is setup in a store-like atmosphere where parents and kids can come in and shop for items like coats, groceries, bikes, toys, school supplies, household items, and hygiene products.

We come together as a beacon of hope with goods and necessities to make a lasting impact on people's lives. We strive to take away the intense stress and strain to assist families in the communities.
